Why is it so hard to do what's best for you?
One of my clients recently said something I love to hear as her coach:
“The people-pleaser in me is shrinking.”
Then she shared another victory.
“I would never have been able to make this move before our work together.”
She has just accepted a new position in a new city.
For 14 years, she had stayed in the security of the same position. It was no longer a fit. She wanted something more but couldn't quite trust herself to build something better.
It was familiar and predictable.
In the past, she would have stayed somewhere she'd already outgrown because it felt certain—even if she was unhappy.
After transformational coaching, something inside her has changed.
Her courage and desire to give to herself have become stronger than her fears.
She describes experiencing life in a new way: “My choices in the moment are more my own and less focused on others. I feel mindful and present.”
That same day, another client began our session with, “You won't believe what I did.” (I love when sessions start that way).
She has been struggling with boundaries in her relationships, and most recently, fearful of telling her heavy-drinking and smoking brother he couldn't stay in her newly decorated home for three weeks, as he had requested.
The whole topic filled her with stress and anxiety. She had spent years tiptoeing around his behavior because disappointing him felt harder than disappointing herself.
She was unable to break that pattern because it was deeply ingrained until we did the work to go into it.
Slowly, over time, we unraveled it, until one day she woke up and simply felt,
Oh... it's so obvious. I'm done.
She made the call to him, said it simply, and it wasn't as bad as she had pictured all these years. He said he understood and made other plans.
This is the kind of change we find when we build trust in ourselves. The confidence to be who we are and say what we mean begins to blossom.
There is nothing more exciting to me than helping people come home to their inner knowing, clarity, and the authentic power that comes from self-trust.
It might seem like something we have to learn. But I've found we simply have to unlearn the things that cover it up.
We get present, stay mindful, and look at the places where life isn't working the way we want it to. We look from different angles until something shifts.
Then what once felt impossible begins to feel natural.
That's transformation: an actual change.
Lasting change requires seeing and working with what you can't see yet.
What is it that might be keeping you in an unhappy pattern or life situation?
This could be a mindset, a negative belief, or a strong emotion that keeps looping and taking you hostage. It could be any number of blind spots that you can’t see right now.
This is human nature! It’s why I always have at least one mentor in my life, usually two or three.
There is just some work we can’t do alone, and if you want a life that truly lights you up from the inside and brings peace, you do have to do the work for it.
This coaching isn’t surface work—but it’s also not “hard.” It's daily inner self-connection. It’s unraveling. Then it’s waking up to seeing the brilliance within you.
When you peel back the shadow, the light comes through… and it’s illuminating, it’s liberating.
If that is something that might interest you, I am taking 1:1 clients now for my 3-month coaching programs.
I offer a free complimentary video call to meet. Whether we have worked together in the past or have never met, these calls are for you and me to connect and see where you are now, and if I can help.
You can self-schedule HERE. I look forward to connecting with you.
Blessings & Love,
Rebecca
